I'll be there with one of my favorite instrumentalists playing a variety of music from popular songs, to jazz, blues, original compositions, and standards from the Great American Song Book and Beyond. This juried art show features a wide variety of great artisans showcasing their craft, and includes something for people of all ages. Great fun!

Ethel Lee and the Quintet members and I are excited and honored to be part the Thursday Night Concert Series at the MassMutual Center's newest venue, "The Landing", on June 25, 2026 from 4:30PM to 7:30PM. This public performance event is free, "rain or shine", and includes food truck vendors, beverage centers, and music. Public Performance and Lecture: "American Blues" by Eric Bascom. This presentation will offer a historical context of this iconic and original American musical art form from its roots beginning in the pre-turn of the 20th century to our modern times. Eric will discuss the evolution of the blues in some of its many forms, and will demonstrate through performance some of the key evolutionary periods of this musical art form that shaped American popular music from Tin Pan Alley and Broadway, to jazz, rhythm & blues, rock'n' roll, Motown and beyond.
